7 Tips for repurposing content

Repurposing social content

“We understand…. Life gets busy and it’s easy to get behind sometimes.  Keeping on top of a marketing schedule can turn into a daunting task faster than you can say Chat GPT”

Unlike “Chat GPT” we won’t be scraping information off the internet and using it to reiterate a topic. Instead we will be reheating your marketing leftovers in a creative microwave. Yum! Let’s talk about how to get the most mileage and ROI out of your existing marketing efforts.

  1. Do you already have a blog that you’ve been working on?

Try creating a social media post as a teaser for this blog and provide a link to read the whole blog.  What about converting that blog post into a script for your next video?  Low. Hanging. Fruit.

  2. Do you have a podcast or have you been a guest on one recently?

That’s a great opportunity to create short video clips for social media. For YouTube, keep the clips under 60 seconds and use #shorts to get a lot more attention on your video. Pro tip:  Use vertical formatting (1080 pixels x 1920 pixels) and add subtitles for optimal viewing on a smartphone.  Learn more about YouTube specific tips here.

  3. Doing something really cool?

Like a public speaking engagement, special event or convention? Add a BTS “Behind The Scenes” perspective with video or photo to give a more personal perspective and generate more content around the special occasion. BTS has a raw and authentic feel that is too valuable to not capture and share. This can help generate a whole story behind the thing and provide valuable context.

  4. Need to promote an upcoming event?

I really hope you captured the highlights of the last event on video or photo because that is the #1 way to show people why they need to attend.

  5. Throw-back Thursday, or Tuesday #tbt

What’s old is cool again, haven’t you seen Stranger Things yet?  Just repost it, with some new copy “Just reminiscing about the great times we had at _______.  Can’t wait until next time!”

  6. Case Study!

You’ve already put in the work and the project came out great!  Now turn that success into a case study, where you talk about the process and the path you took to deliver results. Sprinkle in a client testimonal too. Your future clients will be interested!

  7. Client reviews.

If you’ve got some google reviews, then feel free to copy and paste their gloriously positive feedback into Canva, add some design elements and BAM!  You just created another social media post!

Sometimes, we all hit a creative wall. It’s okay. Revisit some old marketing assets and breathe some new life into them! I often get a kick out of looking back and seeing how far we have come, maybe your audience will too.
